To be fair that was achieved by very boringly cruising along the motorway at near legal speeds. sorry.gif

well i was out ferra spin the udder day with Pict and he's gettin 64mpg ! he managed 230 moiles afore his reserve thingy started blinking on the display panel (but he never goes over 44 mph !!!) rolleyes.gif i managed 190 afore reserve kicked in.

spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

Bigger tank on a Mk2 isn't it? Mk1 is only 15 litres to reserve. 64mpg is pretty impressive though.

filled her up today, 105miles of fully loaded 90-100mph motorway work and 41miles of twisty thrashing before hitting reserve cool.gif

used to get about 115-120 so its an improvement yahoo.gif

Done: Homo sap navigation/ twisty thing on bars to make it go vroom/ grabby thing to make it stop (in front of twisty thing)/ 'leccy things front and rear to make it glow at night/ Sucky + drippy oiler thing to keep chains moist (!!) / Laser Pro Stock Race pipes / bleeding ear drums (see previous mod)
To do: Educate homo sap nav system to operate twisty + grabby things/ get ear plugs

All Trashed Now... Pants... its a Cat B Mwahahaha it lives again!!

Right! Listen up Toobs Team

Since Tuesday there has been an strong smell off petrol when the bike is in the garage.
Also, Since Tuesday, the bike has been, well dying when cruising along, by this I mean in 4th/5th steady throttle. She starts to 'die'. when you add a ltlle more throttle she is still hesitant.

Fine on tickover, fine on heavy throttle

and that smell of petrol. (nothing on paper towel overnight)

leaky/inefficient fuel tap allied to worn emulsion tubes in the carbs perhaps ? sorry Catsarse butt i'm no a h'expurt on these matters so i'm stabbing in the dark.

could be a sticking float in the carbs try switching fuel tap off when parking up in garage see if that stops the smell.

Back.
Had a further look. Found the rubber tube that is dripping fuel down the left/nearside of the engine. It seems to run up toward the tank. Here, have some pics to play with:-

That look suspiciously like one of the air bleed pipes to the top of the slides.... blink.gif
(page 12 part 54 on 4TX parts book from JBX... yes I know its a MkI not MkII, but part the same)

tho I dont think that'll be your primary source o' petrol wiff....
