Ah the continuing mystery of the disappearing well nut, will we ever solve it?
Dunno, but I know that if we eventually do, we will find it besides a whole century worth of lost single socks....

started out with good intentions with my new silicone hoses, stainless hose clips and some bits of carbon bling under my arm. Got started in garage, then phone call from nephew, his bike is dead so put it all away to go fix his bike.
A cold afternoon and into the evening was had sorting out his ignition switch.
I'll have another go tomorrow and switch my phone off

I get about two years from them, but given I found some OEM gaiters that are close to the eBay one's for £86.00!! I think I will stick with the 20quid'ers :S Not much choice on the buggers that's the problem.

I'll be ordering another set from you then, they were good and have been on over two years
Stripped all the plastic off the front end yesterday. Removed a load of messy electrics from the aging (cheap) auxilliary lights I binned and tidied the alarm wiring. Fitting the brand new dash panel today after also binning the old one along with the 12v socket, aux light switch and alarm LED. Fitted a Givi satnav case with integral 12v accessory socket and USB charger stolen off Kelpie's bike. Cleaned the K&N air filter and will refit all today. Also fitting new Givi running lights thanks to Mrs BSM (aka Kelpie). Biker wives rock!
er these 'stolen'bits, does she know ?

Darn right she does! I'm watching him... just cos it's his birthday doesn't means he gets to pinch bits off me bike!
Well I've had a busy day. Whilst BSM has had all the plastics removed off his bike, I decided to tackle some of the bits that have needed attention for a long time. There were a few dodgy lugs that I've repaired with copper wire from a piece of coaxial cable, home made fairing glue, araldite, chopped up old dash panel and a bit of ice cream carton.
I used the dremel to drill tiny holes in the broken bits. I'm allowed to use the dremel as it's nearly considered a "girl's tool" and I'm unlikely to disembowel myself with it.

The coaxial stuff is handy as you can pull threads out to make the wire as thick or thin as you want.

Threaded wire through the holes in the broken off bit.

Bung it into place and wire to wee holes I drilled where it broke off. (Fiddly - like milking a bloomin mouse)

Daub in copious amounts of araldite and pack underneath and around the wires in home-made fairing glue. Snip off spare wire once it's set.

Home made fairing glue in a marmalite pot. Made it about 3 years ago by chopping up plastic welding rods (compatible with TDM fairing material) and soaking in acetone. It forms a glob in the bottom of the acetone that keeps forever provided it's airtight.

Another lug repair using the same method and a piece of the old dash fairing.

I may see if Wilbers will make carbon fork inners, seems a cheaper, easier option in the long run.
