Quickly traced an intermittent misfire to a loose ignition coil connection. Phew!
There are those who type a lot, and then there are those who ride a lot.

I put one on my R1 which was mint with just 3k miles on it when I got it. I toured on it quite a lot although I didn't get on with the Bagster tank bag in the end. I didn't take the cover off for about 4 years. I was bricking it when I did finally take it off. I needn't have worried, the tank looked as good as it did the day it was born. The one on the TDM is Top Sellerie. 72 + postage. Identical to Bagster but cheaper. The tank bag that goes with it is nice too and not as bulky as my R1 tank bag was.

Kelpie, what are the differences between TAP 3945 and TAP 1549 (I know the last one needs 15 days to be made) ? From what I've seen both models have the same colour code (black) and they have the same price (72 euros).Have they the same shape or not?

Thank you.

Same shape. Only TAP 1549 has the TDM logo on the side. Both are black though.
Mine is the TAP1549. It's also got white stitching which I don't think the other one has.

Gave it a good soapy wash to get rid of the saltyness, and waxed.

Fitted a handlebar pushbutton to control the handguard DRL display programs...

A cheap generic motorcycle horn button off ebay, but it has solid copper contacts inside so maybe it will last ;)

Fed up with having to monitor the handguard mounts because the locking bolt  slowly rotates in the bar ends on rough roads, I fudged a bracket to hold the inner part of the handguard rigidly...

The sun has come out, I might just get a  ride in :)

I got a ride to the new Forth crossing, still under construction...

And got a good view of all three Firth of Forth bridges together

Brace yourselves....... The red bridge on the right is the first Firth of  Forth bridge, the unfinished bridge to the left is the third Firth of Forth bridge at Queensferry but it's the fourth Firth of Forth bridge over the Forth because Kincardine is the other one.

The bridge in the middle is the old grey suspension Firth of Forth road bridge which was the second Firth of Forth road bridge to be built

I know !    There have been several attempts to bring the plan of a Forth Tunnel to fruition, but it never gets far.

Miners  built one in the last century... http://www.theguardi...rthofforth-coal

300 years before that, there was a tunnel dug which was used to raise coal and load ships out in the Forth http://www.engineeri...file-bruce.html

A road tunnel would be perfect but it looks like we have enough bridges
