As I'm not going to Aviemore in Sept , it was going to be the only chance to meet up will you lot. So I was going to suprise you all and just turn up.
Just had a operation yesterday on the roof of my mouth to stop me snoring.
Thought it was going to be like going to the dentists, ended up in Theatre !!!
Can hardly talk, cant swallow, cant eat !
Cant come to Ireland.

Have a great time and a pint of the black magic for me.

Cheers, Ivan

Roll on friday...I'm just recovering from a bad cold so have not even washed my bike!
If the weather is anything like last weekend we are setup. I was in the Burren for the weekend and it was heaven on earth, even had a few swims in the sea which is the sort of rat-bike activity I would not normally indulge!

Have you ever lent someone 20 quid and never seen it again? It was probably worth it.

If you get to th ecamspsite before me, I plan to be there around 4pm, i have the booking under the name 'Alex for Carpe TDM' , there are 12 to 14 single tents booked in at €10/head/night which includes showers and they are fairly decent facilities. If there is any issue I booked it with a lady called Margaret (let's face it how many of them can there be in Mayo

Look forwrad to seeing you all then,

Meet up friday in Westport June 25th at Campsite I have arranged camping fees of €10/head/night based on the fact that there will be primarily one-man tents but we get a group discount given that I expect 6 to 12 heads in all.
Saturday I have proposed a 100mile circuit with some amazing scenery - I will try to get down there beforehand to scout out the chocalate cake... Saturday Route
Westport town is a bit of a walk but it will help stretch the back out after the day on the bike...so we can go there for dinner and pints..there are lots of good restaurants in Westport and it's one of the nicest towns in Ireland with the possible exception of Dingle.
Sunday will be a long ride home for most so maybe go for a decent breakfast and on home from there.
Any comments, additional interest, questions, abuse welcome!!
Thanks

That sounds good for the morning run.
How's about heading North in the afternoon?
Or maybe a Sunday morning run heading towards most folks' homes (S/E)?
I'd planned a (non R1) route for last year (The 850 one) but the inclemment weather stopped that.
I may be one of the furthest away & it's still only 5 hours at sensible speeds.
Strangely the 3 hourly Meteox forecast shows rain starting Sunday evening...
5 day / 3 hourly
Sorry to add this after all your planning Alex
See ya soon, Chris

I may try to bag a couple more photorally points on the way back on Sunday too... See how it goes I guess.
Pat.
PS. Have decided that I will dine out in fine style this weekend, and not try to cook me own brekkie. So, no hanging around in the morning lads - I don't function well without brekkie of some sort...
1997 Mk2 (registered '99) in super quick yellow/silver with custom gone-faster scratches. Micron 2-1 exhaust (fruity but not offensive), TRX engine (after the death-rattle signalled the end of the original), Hagon rear shock, rust-proof rear end courtesy of loobman chain oiler... My first and only bike (delivered new to home before I passed my test), tatty and a bit of a shed, but still get a buzz from it!
