I would heartily and without hesitation recommend the digs which were found and trialled by Ali last year
http://www.mototaranis.com/
A fanatstic weekend, unbeatable accommodation, food and drink, some great roads, brilliant company, sidebursting jokes and we even had good weather.
Pete
p.s. hope Ali gets his bike fixed quickly and, as always, it sounds like there is some good advice and assistance appearing here already - well done lads!
Keep music live!

1129.5 miles, 1 litre of oil, countless laughs, amazing weather, stunning scenery and great roads.
Looking forward to the next jaunt!
(I did realise today that myself and Steve on the Triumph were in our own room while the 900 riders paired up pretty swiftly on arrival...

I can heartily recommend Europ Assist. I paid £49 for a year's cover which covers UK and Europe. They had a french-speaking operator and when it was clear that I had missed the ferry and it couldn't be fixed on Monday, they booked a hotel and sent a taxi to take me there. The decision on Tuesday was to take the bike to the Yam dealer in Le Havre so that worse case scenario, they'd get me to the port and recover me from Portsmouth. Great service. They sent me a text with the details and even phoned the ferry company to tell them that I would miss the ferry and to send me the phone number to rebook for Tuesday. If anyone needs to get cover for Germany, I can speak from experience (and before anyone says that a french-speaking operator will be no use, they do have german speakers too). Let me know and I'll post their details.
Glad everyone had a great time. I might have to think about next year's trip - annual event guys? There are loads of roads north west of the B&B we didn't even get near.

Glad you got home okay Ali and I'm sure you've checked out the posts above regarding the alternator rewinds, which hopefully won't cost you too much to repair

The bank have said that when this happens it's normally resolved automatically in a few days. If not they have to give 30 days before they can chase it up to try and reclaim it.
Check your accounts to see if there's a discrepancy.

when the tour de france went through "PORNIC" today it became clear that I am not the only person trawling around dubious websites, the organiser of the tour de france is obviously on the same sites. See sophisticated people have sophisticated tastes.
You can imagine my suprise when I heared Phil Ligget (ITV 4 comentator) say Pornic a typically pretty french port, famous for carpetdm's visit in april

Did he really ? I used to enjoy listening to his highy informative commentaries, bit like a guided tour of France and Switzerland when he were on Eurosport. Even knew what the best local wine & cheese was for any given location
