Farnham, loads of the fag lighter jobbies in stock, but I had the last Italian book. We don't all need to be carrying phrase books though.

Fag lighter thing had a switch built in to the plug, along with one very small chip, no idea what that did but the sockets will be a straight through connection so I cut the cable and wired it directly in. Not tried the USB port yet, need to find something that uses USB power that I don't mind if I break biggrin.gif I'm thinking a small jiffy bag will be plenty of protection to charge the phone under the seat.


Oh and I thought I'd better plug the radio in to test it while Iw as fiddling and found the power cable to it is broken, molded plug job too so I can't even fix it. Off to Maplin tomorrow then...

It's a standard DC power jack, If they've got one already molded to a cable I'll go for that for the weather protection but they definitely sell the plugs to wire my own



Yeah I realised after Saturday we'd basically managed to achieve feck all rolleyes.gif except get through loads of cake, which to be fair is a pretty good achievement in itself laugh.gif


I'll dig out Hannah's radio to test my setup. Somethings screwed with my Bluetooth though, tomtom can connect to phone and autocom but I'm getting no sound over the autocom
Not a problem though as I usually turn the sound off anyway.

Checking my Geek Atlas I see that route we knocked up goes almost right past the Tempio Voltiano. Might be tempted to poke my head in if we pass at an appropriate time

New BT023 fitted on front today so just need to check chain adjustment, final tyre pressure check, top up the scottoiler and pack tent and clothes and I'm ready to hit the road so can't wait until next Wednesday waiting.gif

Got a full set of pads today. I won't fit them until i really need to, and someone else may need them during the tour.

Wednesday:

I'm working and then coming home to collect bike and head over to Saga's for supper.
Did it when we went to France in April and it works well. He also has a lovely garden to chill in before Portsmouth

Just done the same, they seem ok for now but not sure if they will last the duration or not.
I got a spare clutch cable also as mine seems to be getting a bit loose these days even after adjustment.

What about tools, I thought the back wheel has to come off to do the rear pads?
