It will depend on getting out of work on time. I've got the afternoon off and was hoping to get the car packed up on Thursday night and take the bike to work. I would think between 5 and 6 too.

That will be the best route, especially if we want to make breakfast.

I can't think of anywhere obvious at the moment - I get on after Clacketts Lane and the Thurrock services are quite a way off the M25. I'll have a think and get back to you - I wonder if any of the junctions on the M25 have layby's nearby that one of us could wait at?

Hoping to trundle over on Saturday a.m. just to say hello at the campsite. If so, I'm planning to leave Hitchin at about 7.30, then take A505 and A11, expecting to be caught up and passed somewhere on the A11 - never was fast and certainly ain't nowadays, so just give a toot and a wave rather than hold back.

Pull to the left side as you approach the Dartford tunnel tolls?

Hi Dave,, yep i'll be leaving from Liverpool,, dont have an agenda or route sorted yet and that will depend largely on what time i can get away, 12.00ish or later and i will be hooning down the motorway,, if i get an earlier start then probably across the Peak District National Park avoiding built up areas where possible,., beta testing copilot and BT headset on the way so it's very likely i could end up in Peebles laugh.gif

Im a bit of a last minute mary im afraid, ya never know what will happen on the day of departure, i guess you will be leaving around 1pm if you plan on meeting Moosey,,pm ya number anyhoos and will see what progress i make on Friday..

Oh well. If you end up in Peebles, head west and pick up the A701 to Moffat via the Devil's Beeftub. It's a "must ride" road, so at least your detour won't be wasted.

Could I suggest that people fill up with motion lotion on their way to the campsite. There are 2 petrol stations on the way through Mildenhall, one on the A11 roundabout and another just as you leave Mildenhall heading towards the site.

Just save an extra 20 mins while everybody fills up at the start of the ride...

Did an oil and filter change on the Tuono for the 1st time today and the 2 sump plugs and filter housing were on the same side and all within a foot, so no moving the tray around...... But the oil tank (dry sump same as TDM) only holds 3ltrs and the engine need 3.8ltrs!!!

My Super Modded TDM has gone to a new home :(
