Won't be around on Sunday 27th Ian - alas, I depart for France with the other 8fiddly on tow on Sat 26th ! - piss poor timing on my part

We've arranged for Kym to drop the bike off with Mr Henty to store until I get back, as he's so near to Kym's Northamptonshire base .

If I were you, I'd get yourself over to Kym's mates near Matlock for an hour's chinwag - snot far from your place  :good:

Fucking disc lock, sorry Mick, better start looking for another disc. Let me know the cost & I fix you up. Thought I could get from Portrush to the Yammie dealer in Coloraine, but decided to minimise damage and of all places to stop was the entrance to the NW200 pits.

AA Road Side Assist sent a great bloke to help, in the end we removed the calliper so I had to adjust my braking markers on the NW 200 & the Armoy tracks I road today. Unfortunately the lost 2 hours cost me a chance to do the Ulster track.

Mark, I might have to go a bit easier on those final Lakes Passes you have planned although it could be good footage for the next video though!

When in Armoy I had a great chat Joey's Dunlop's bike owner & his son gave me a great tour of their personal bike museum, as well as pulling the covers off Joey's last couple of frame numbered race bikes. Plenty of photos but you'll have to wait.

Made Larne tonight, 7.30am ferry to Cairnryan tomorrow.

Helmet still being stretched by my big smile.

Bugger -No info on the discs - unless Studley can help

been & checked the wheel stores - got a TDM front with no discs, a TDM rear with a disc, a spare rear disc, & a Fazer 1000 spare wheel with a set of discs on it

But I don't think there's any direct replacements in that lot for an 850 front   :(

JohnnyW

Hi Johnny!

Front brake problems aren't holding me up at all, just got to remember that there is only one disc stopping me.

If anyone knows of a breaker roughly on my route, I can call in to see if they have a replacement as Sidey seems to be having trouble finding one from where he is in Lincolnshire. I have been told there is a large breaker near Aberdeen, but don't know where yet. The only damage is a bent disc so it would be a quick fix.

I would expect to take 2 days to get to Applecross from Cairnryan, making it Saturday, but I'm not sure how far I can travel in a day.. I can extend travelling time if you were thinking of meeting up as I am now a day ahead of schedule due to catching the earlier ferry to Isle of Mann. Would be great to catch up.

Cheers
Kym

I'll give you a call later today and we can sort out a meet on the west coast. If you are thinking of going north via Oban, take the oportunity to ride over the Atlantic Bridge to Seil island, just south of . There's a great little pub just over the bridge and the run out to Easdale on the west coast of the island is worth it.

Sounds like the EBC I had on the front of my XL. I had it off the road for a few months and had to put some emery in between the disc and pads to get some efficiency back. Bloody thing pulsed from new too.
