Aw, that made me sad, not that you will watch it on catch up (because we would have done had a friend not invited us to enjoy his BTSports package), but that you already know the result.

Yeah, I've done the IAM. And yeah, I recommend it (any so-called 'advanced training' come to that; not just IAM): A low cost training course based on the system used by the police, which is largely common sense once pointed out, making one smoother, quicker and safer. What's not to like? And why would one not want to tell others?

Was that the first race of the season when the Honda wasn't faster than the Yamaha down the straight, even with a slipstream ahem ahem..... IIRC the Yamaha couldn't keep up with the Honda when the positions were reversed, indeed Honda have pulled away from Yamaha each time. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

The point has been raised that at no time did MM even look like trying to overtake Lorenzo, despite sitting on his back wheel most of the race. This seems at least a little odd, knowing MM (and seeing how Danni caught them up)...
Whether he wanted Lorenzo to win, or just didn't want to be the spaniard in Spain who gave the championship to an Italian (albeit a very popular one), I couldn't say. But he didn't try.

LOL, I rather think Jorge was playing Rossi at his own game with some mind scrambling of his own.
It might be an idea to give them all a good smack, bang their collective heads together before the 2016 opener...........

and if it rains the riders have to change the tyres themselves , and instead of penalty points they have to ride the next race on an Ural , from the back of the grid with the bike facing backwards, and they have to complete the allotted laps even if it means that they have to push it to the finish

I'm most surprised at Pedrosa, as he has the most to prove and his Honda place surely can't be guaranteed. He was easily the fastest rider out there in the later stages, yet hung back after one failed attempt to take Marquez. But there was no way the Spaniards were going to risk tripping up each other and jeopardising Lorenzo's championship.
That said the turning point wasn't Malaysia it was San Morino. Rossi had the upper hand after Silverstone and would've been crowned with his 10th title if he'd made the right choices at San Morino. I think that rare error of judgement from him (staying out on wets), more than anything else, played on his mind the most. That led to him being too easily frustrated in latter races, when a calmer head was needed.

Going to be honest here and say [ yes I know it is strange ] that I have never really followed Moto GP that closely. I always seem to miss the races and then never knew where to find footage afterwards. Maybe just ended up falling into a few highlights.
I remember liking Casey Stoner's riding style when I saw a bit of him racing.
I think this thread has been great - I actually applaud all of the different opinions and it has helped me get into the 'feel' of it all. I know these are unusual circumstances and we have had some Italian & Spanish handbag stuff going on but it has just added to the whole cocktail for me.
For my part as always going for the complete underdog, I would just take a look at who was last and then hope they get better!
Cheers all!
