Rode the TDM to my old University to delver some documents: Somehow I thought it a good idea to go for another master's degree in a new field that can be obtained parallel to working. Stupid me ;) less time for biking.

Fixed a little noise from a heatshield on my car and ponder when to wash the TDM ;)

Spent several hours practising on the sofa with our new Sena's so as not to upset the twin twins with our incompetence on our next spin this weekend.

Verified that I will have access to garage for bringing the old one out on staurday.

Wonder if startup will be like ?

a) click - wroom

or

b) click-crank-click-crank-tank off-startup gas-empty battery-charge battery-startup gas-click-crank-click-crank-wroom

've had a lot of different first startup experiences with this bike...

Bike flew though MOT this afternoon, and shocked with the numbers of miles I've done this year, 2300 in all. And theres me thinking I never rode that much... only one advisory noted.

Slack chain!

I’ve been called worse

Was the chain slack or was the MOT examiner?

To be honest he's right as I noticed it when the examiner rode it into the test bay. And thought "better look at that tomorrow" :good:

I took a bike for it's MOT last week and got chatting with the tester, I guessed the annual mileage of most bikes would be 'quite low', at about 3000 or 4000......   he said 'try 300 to 400 more like' .    He see's bikes that haven't done more than 100 miles since the last MOT quite a lot.  I don't know how people can blow the cobwebs off and ride safely if thats all you do, but each to their own. According to him even big tourers average less than 3000, because most owners go for their one big holiday tour each year and then don't use the bike for the rest of the year.

It's none of my business what people do with their bikes, but I couldn't live with having a bike and usually not use it !

Checked the waterproofing (good quality silicone) of the cheapo led spots and aligned them....

And also discovered that repairing the upper fairing lug was just a case of moulding a suitable nut in 'metal epoxy'

Rebuilt the solar charging system to work a bit better.
