SWMBO and I had a meal in Roo's Leap in Aviemore on Saturday night and are very impressed with prices and quality so booked a table for 18 for 8.30 pm on Saturday 12th September. For the Friday night we could either go to Roo's Leap or there's Indian and Italian restaurants withing walking distance. Any thoughts lads?

Yet another pissing wet day in Bonny Scotland !!

I hope you've all got wet weather gear , it's hardly stopped raining here since the first week of July !! Wettest summer I can remember.

As you can see , I'm a real " glass half empty " kind of person !

I think I've got that SAD disease and it's still summer .

Ok , Heads up all those stopping in Glasgow for lunch......Paddy , Chris , Ivan , Matlock etc...

Here's the options ,

Asda
Sainsburys
McDonalds/Burger King
Ikea
Pizza Hut
KFC
Greasy spoon van
Pub

My preference is the van !! A couple of rolls (baps for you southerners) with Scottish square sliced sausage and a mug of tea will set you up for the afternoon. There's quite a few good ones in the area.

Let me know what you all prefer cause if it's a sit down job then I may have to pre-arrange it.

Hawmaw,

I thought ASDA was a good idea.

Big enough to find easily.

If ( IF ! ), it p!ssing down we are indoors for a bit.

Plenty of choice , ie vegitarian and cheap.

and I can do a bit of last minute shopping before civilisation disappears ......

They do sell string vests and iron brew there , dont they ? hide.gif

I'm OK with a van if we can find one with a bit of shelter, you never know it might be raining !!

I agree with Ivan, Asda will be easiest for everyone to find. Plus for the early arrivals, it will be somewhere to shelter from the storms!while they wait for the stragglers.

Been thinking about this. Asda carpark , Govan may not be the best place to leave bikes loaded with kit unattended !

There's a Sainsbury nearby with an indoor carpark covered by cctv.

Where to Fook are you taking us to ?

My kit consists of a top box with a wash kit, skiddy's, jeans, trainers, 15 t-shirts and a £15 digital camera of E-bay.

I'll leave it open, carry the wash kit and camera, wear jeans and all the t-shirts at once, disbig.gif

They can have my stinky trainers and my skiddy's, I'll just go back in ASDA and buy new ones . putemup.gif

I bow to your experience of the natives, whatcha.gif

Sainsburys it is, what road is it on ?

Cheers, Ivan
