TDM will be gone by then, but replacement is a Yamaha so may pop in (if that's OK)

Well I've been out on the bike today to get a new rear tyre - a nice new PR3 to replace the old square PR2....... :good:

It seems that I'm also now suffering problems with my "fast idle"? The bike will start up OK but climbs to circa 2000 rpm after warmed up and generally that's now my idle speed. I've read all the detail on the post "24hrs Of Hell, Fixing Fast Idle Plunger" and understand what needs to be done but wary of trying this on my own. My cheeky question therefore is.......... can I add this to my fettle needs for the 7th April?

So far my list covers -

  • Valve clearance (shims) check
  • Oil & filter change (and other annual service checks)
  • Fast Idle plunger strip & clean
  • Learn, learn, learn, .............. soak up all the advice & knowledge I can

At risk of doing something exciting!

Right guys. Looks like we can expect a dry, if maybe a bit cool day on Sunday. Can I get a rough idea of attendees please? I've got a large supply of teabags but don't want to run out of rolls for the bacon and sausages. We might even get the barbeque on if someone is inclined.

I've got a long drive but it is compacted gravel. If you've got a side stand plate then bring it. If not, I've got a load of plywood offcuts which work a treat.

See you Sunday.

Ali

Really must get myself along to one of these - or in fact host one if people are willing to travel to deepest darkest Kent.

I've got shims to do as they are well overdue now, but this will have to wait for funding.

Anyway - hope this one goes according to plan - isn't looking too bad for the Sunday, just wrap up warm by the looks of it: http://www.accuweath...st/321828?day=5

If I can get my new toy taxed in time, I will make it over, need to try out the heated grips

Am waiting on the V55 so there is no way around it

Was cheaper to insure than the TDM, same value, go figure
