Day started with a fantastic run down from Tomintoul via Kingussie, Newtonmore and Laggan to meet up with him at Nevis range ski area at Fort William. After a quick coffee and chat with RocketRob who had taken a run up from Taynuilt to say hi, we headed north to Invergarry and then turned west towards Kintail. Stopped at Eilean Donan castle where we had a clamber about the battlements and lots of photos.
A quick run up to Skye followed, just to say we'd been there. Rode over the bridge, put our feet down, took photo and then turned round, back over the bridge and headed for Applecross for a late lunch. The ride over the Bealach-na-Ba was fantastic but ran into some cloud at the top. By the time we got down into Applecross the sun was back out and we had a terrific view over the Inner Sound to the Cuillins on Skye. After lunch took the coastal route out of Applecross which was stunning and then thru , passing the mountains of Torridon to Kinlochewe where we parted company with Kym heading for an overnight stop in Gairloch and me turning east to head for home.
Judging by the number of photos he took, the numerous "fantastic" and "unbelievable" comments he was making and the huge grin you could see on his face every time he took off his helmet I think he had a good day. Hope he doesn't get too wet today and I'll catch up with him next week.

Good to catch up with Rocket Rob too.

Today I pushed right through to John O' Groats and on to my mate at Benrinnes in the rain. 13hours in the saddle less lots of Kodak moments, which only seemed like 6 on a TDM

Now for a few days rest, laid back sipping single malt whiskey

Photos to come .......
