AS per bloody usual, my plans went tits up. On the way to work (with wheel in boot) all the dash lights came on, altmeter showing nothing. Quick test with Voltmeter and a new altenator please. So, £175 plus carriage plus vat for a new unit, the wheel remains in the boot. Going in the other 1/2's punto tomorrow and this time will try Russel Street at lunchtime.

You know what? I did try and drive through that water, got scared n came home crying like a little girlie. Water was going over the roof. Would explain the alt giving up.
Went to see Mark at rideintyres Reading. Your right TonyDevil, a bloody nice bloke. Did my puncture, had a chat and I gave him £10.00 for his time. Nice thing was no trying to sell me a new tyre. But I will go back to see him for a new one for the winter.
Went to work on the bike today, ahhhhhh what pleasure after nearly a week off her!
JHT: The smell of petrol has now gone and no more leaking or power loss. Whats going on?

Thats a question I ask myself several times a day.... I still have no idea.....

Marks's also done about 4or5 tyres with slime for me and never charged for the extra hassle

My TDM :
Black 1991 850 MK1, 160k+ miles(ish, best guess really, gave up trying to keep count after 3rd set of clocks and 3rd engine), PilotRoad2 tyres, custom stubby exhaust system, bluespot calipers & goodridge braided hoses with dunlopads, maxton forks, Ohlins shock, kedo handguards, stainless TDM grill, Scottoiler with lubetube & dual nozzle thingy, Givi Wingrack2 with E45 & 2xE36s, renntec crash bars, Autocom with blueteeth & PMR radio, TomTom Rider2, Optimate IIIsp, Bagster tank cover, anti-dazzle coating
to fit : led spotlights, heated grips, new braided lines and rear caliper that actually has bleed nipples
