Rode her for the last time today.
After 20 years without missing a beat I fell for the Africa Twin. Delivered the TDM and took over my red AT1000 and had a blast riding it home. Wanted to fit a centre stand, but it started raining. Tomorrow I have a day off, will fit the stand then and hope it's dry to start suspension setup.

Thanks mate. After two suspension setup rides and 500km I can say it is absolute fun to ride. But I shall not hijack the TDM thread to brag about the AT

Closing the chapter.
Swapped the SuperTen mirrors back to TDM mirrors, emptied out the space under the seat (fist aid kit, hi-viz vest, leatherman tool) and put together all paperwork and the spare keys so the "dicke" is ready to be traded in when I take delivery of my new Africa Twin 1000 at the end of next week.
Feels a little nostalgic after 20 years, somewhat sad to let her go, on the other hand, looking forward to the AT a lot. Just hope the AT will be as fun and as bulletproof as the "Dicke". Still don't have a nickname for the AT yet, but I think inspiration will come, when I ride her. Now she is still in the transport crate at the dealer's
I hope, I may be allowed to stay here nontheless.
I'm going to book an AT test ride at the local dealer. What could possibly happen?

Today I fitted the one I got through the group buy (thanks AliG). I just can't understand why any bike, but particularly a chain driven one, doesn't come with a centre stand as standard. At least now I can adjust and lube my chain conveniently.

I knew I'd need a centre stand the first time I put the 900 on my paddock stand. What a palaver compared to the 850!

If anyone else wants a centre stand, let me know. I am talking to Rafal about something else.

I finally fitted the new Renthal bars with up and back risers and the handguards from China today. I then went out for a ride to enjoy the sunshine. I also attach a photo showing the Rmg engine bars and centre stand.
