Hi , anyone interested in this?

I had a great time there last year and probabaly have just as good a time over a week-end.

Ferry is about £88, accomodation 2 nights either B & B, or I would sugest the Cronkdhoo bunk house, I will camp in my new tent wub.gif .

Options are Ferry out Friday either

11.15 am from Liverpool ( 1 days holiday gets in 1.45 pm )

2.15 pm from Heysham ( 1/2 day holiday gets in 5.45 pm)

7.00 pm from Liverpool ( no holiday & no drinking time as it gets in 9.30 pm )

Return would be the 3.00 ferry to Liverpool in at 5.45 pm

Thinking about May time possible 20th -22nd ?

Cheers, Ivan

I am always up for a trip to IoM and the arrangements look good Ivan. My comments would be:

- this is getting a bit close to TT ( I believe practice starts 30 may), but this need not be a problem for people not going
- the 'TT taster' might offer a good deal by getting there for part of practice week - lots of bikes on the course and good atmosphere
- a possible extra day can be generated by going over thursday night so you have 3 days ( as long as you can kip on a boat)
- if there is a TT test day as last year some might fancy doing this as well - you feel involved in the event by carrying/testing a racing transponder
- alternative is of course to go for the TT itself , but ferry is likely to be c£210 (eek) I guess

see what people think...

Pete

I will see if there is any info on 2011TT taster - not sure if anyone else has details of Transponder Test Day, it was 18 april last year

Just had a search on a few websites - no sign of the TT taster for 2011. If I find anything out I'll post it on here.
MotoGuzzi Norge 1200GT. for Euro touring
Triumph Street Triple. For those hooligan moments......
Beta Alp 200. For falling off In muddy bits.

Sounds a good one Ivan but I might have to pass on it.

Season ticket holder at Bolton and the last game of the season is the 22nd.

But then again have just re-read Pete's comments and if you were to go over on the Thu (7pm straight from work?) or overnight on Thur I could always come back on Saturday?

Dave, we all have our crosses to bare in life! Sorry to hear about yours. rotflmmfao.gif

Not bothered on the date or in May.

in fact I did not think about the TT being on.

We could go the night before the royal wedding and stay till sunday,
Bolton are away to Blackburn that weekend. ( is that a Derby ?) but at least you have the Friday off.

Thursday 28th April straight after work 7.00 ferry gets you in 9.30. back Sunday Ist May . Ferry costs £83.00

Sounds like the beginnings of a plan to me!

Double bonus of missing the Royal Wedding and not having to umm and ahh about going to the Blackburn game (normally referred to as a "Lancashire Hotpot" in TV speak!)

It sounds a good alternative to Wedding stuff. I can feel a wedding grump coming on already and with plans being made for a street party I need to have other plans asap laugh.gif I may just consider a weekend trip to somewhere, anywhere.

How a bout camping on The Claddagh just off Sulby straight
the camping was Free the last time I was there with toilets
and showers with a 5 mins walk to the pub on Sulby straight.

And the cheapest boat was the one that went at 01~00 and
come back on the 20~30 boat at night.

I would love to come but it would be a last min thing for me.
