2007 Whitey.
In fine fettle but noticed on our last ride the centre stand is as rusty as my neighbours Alfa.
How hard is to remove the stand for renovation. I can get both wheels off the ground
I thank you

The stands come off quite easily (but the pipes do get in the way) BUT I agree with Chris, you'll be largely wasting your time as the constant spray of road grime and grit will soon 'sand blast' off even the best of paint.
For what it's worth what I do is clean the muck off when doing the rest of the bike and then do a quick once over with black enamel. Doesn't last long but just keeps it looking reasonably OK.
Riggers.

I cable tied a piece of plastic cable conduit across my centre bar on my stand, it seems the centre piece gets all the grit off the wheel. My stand is SW Motech. It needs a repaint every year.
Very clean bike there. Centre stand plate is held on with three M8 bolts, it's a bit tight with pipes on but doable.
