I have at last exchanged my 03 for an MT-07. I could not be happier about it. I was not sure that I should but then I cast aside all doubts and went for it. The bike runs like a dream. I doubt I'll want to give time to much else than riding this summer. Cheers!

That's a lovely looking bike. I've looked at few of them up close now, and really like their looks--a lot. Congratulations.

Thanks guys. It does look good and I would quite like to know more about who are the designers (Yamaha Italy-based, I believe). In profile it seems hunched over and ready to GO! Design-wise I see it as a step on from the 09, as the Tracer is yet a further step. I am quite short of leg (31" i/s) but my feet easily go flat on the floor. And I can feel the lower down, lighter weight - over 2 stones less than the 03. No need to mess about with the seat (as I am accustomed to do...) - it's saddle-shaped, near-flat, horizontal and softer foam than usual. And it has the TDM engine's offspring. Perfect.

Seems a real bargain at just over £5K too.

They are very good value, as are the other new MTs. Mine is a year old but looks new and had just 3150 miles on the clock. I believe that (all?) bikes are going to have to be sold with ABS soon so that will eliminate the cheapest version.

The average showing on the screen is 64.9mpg. During the running in it was apparently over 70. Good eh? How's the Tracer going, QM?

Done all the running in, and now starting to open the taps a bit. Find myself taking the long way home so it must be pretty good. Oh, and around 60 -65 mpg though that's likely to drop a bit as confidence grows.
