I did have the BBC weather app.....what a pile of inaccurate dung that was!

If only we knew a competent weather man....wait a minute.

G recommended an app called Windy...and it's brill. Very detailed and so far has been incredibly accurate.

It even predicts imminent ghost attacks!

Met office is my weather app of choice, Accuweather when I'm abroad. Also in my arsenal is RainAlarm a realtime rain radar. It's saved me from a soaking many a time :good: .

I usually google search for 'uk rain radar' which tells you where the rain is, and using the 'forecasted rainfall' function gives an idea of which way any rain is heading .

EG (chosen because it was top of the list) when you press the play button , bottom left in the map screen, it plays the expected rainfall, as well as the past rainfall. The only reason I look at the weather forecast is to predict rainfall.  https://www.metoffic...-4.00&lat=55.01

900 with better bits. Owes me nothing, Makes me smile

For boating I use wind windguru.cz it's always done me well, for general it's the BBC app but that has got a bit picky.

Met office and BBC disagree sometimes. Even had it where both are wrong. Apps say one thing for the "now cast", look outside and the weather is doing something different. ffs.

Just installed Windy and it reckons I'm in London!. Useless fecking thing!
