The Tramuntana range runs parallel to the north west coast of the island. Roads into and out of the range are mostly good bike roads as is the route along it. This is a half day excursion with cake stop. Start at Inca and head north through Selva towards Lluc, then drop down to Soller for cake. You can then cross the Tramuntana via the tunnel to Palma or go over the top if you like hairpin bends.
The climb starts gently on good tarmac then winds through a steep valley with bends tightening as you climb and becoming more wooded.

So be mindful of what might lie on the exit.
The junction to Sa Colobra by a Roman aquaduct. A cul de sac road of hairpins with one of 360 degrees where you pass under the road you are riding. Keep left unless you are a masochist.

Agriculture in the mountains is on terracing. Makes my back ache just thinking of the work that went into that.

The sea is in the distance but the humidity was up and the view not so clear.
