Nice chap running Blossom park, and the golf course down the road does a decent breakfast if you can't be bothered cooking.

We've stayed Wyeside Camping in Rhyader a few times in the past. good central location for rideouts either North to Snowdonia or South to the Brecons, plus the "devils staircase" to the west which is supposed to be good. A couple of people said it was a little noisy but I couldn't hear anything over Hutch and Tony's snoring rendition of the frog chorus. Couple of pubs a short walk away, that do decent food if required, and a cafe in town that does huge breakfasts with slow service.

Think the Wyeside at Rhayader would be your best bet then.
5 minute walk along the river bank to a good pub that does meals - and another 3 minutes to the centre of town.

Blossom park at Abergavenny is quite a way from town, & the golf club is very patchy with food - none on the other week

Riverside campsite, Crickhowell, near Abergevenny. Nice location, quiet site with good facilities, 2 mins to town and pubs. Surrounded by fantastic roads.

Used many times with another bike club.

Just spent a week camping Here small town with a number of pubs, chippy, Spar etc about 20 mins walk. Chosen for central location so we could ride out all over Wales, and fires are allowed when camping near the river. Nice showers/toilets, and had a very posh campers kitchen where we could eat our chips when it rained.
