Ride n smile - you're halfway to valve clearance mileage

Rear suspension linkage - loads of info on here (btm pin does not knock out).

Power commander adds fuel where the standard fuel injection system leans it out, to get more power and to smooth out the engine response - some people complain about the on-off nature of the throttle at low RPM.

The bike will be able to take anything you throw at it. I bought one with 92000 miles on, an ex riding instructors bike which had been looked after, and it now has 107000 on it and runs sweet.

Give yourself time to get used to it and if you find the steering slow (it depends on your riding style) there is an option to drop the front wheel down to 17" diameter (easy if you don't have ABS)

And hello !

900 with better bits. Owes me nothing, Makes me smile

If your set up is working well for you - and it sounds like it is - then I would leave things alone. If you want to preserve your standard silencers and fit custom ones then there are still a few options out there.

I fitted Demon cans from SP Engineering and have been really pleased with them.Good quality, good fit and a nice deep tone with DB killers fitted. I also fitted a PC3 but found it unnecessary and so I disconnected it. I think to get the best from a Power Commander you need to have it mapped by a specialist.

Happy riding!

Riggers.

I agree with both Favs and Riggers. Suspension change can make a difference but if you're enjoying the bike leave as is.

How ya and welcome.   PC3 is a 'power commander 3'.  have you experimented with different cake recipes yet as that can affect the performance?

spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

I loike tay and hang sangwiches !

The only items I changed were to do with the snatchy throttle and the seat. The former has already been sorted with the PC3, presumably. And the seat is personal. My 2007 bike worked very well otherwise as standard. Enjoy.

You had a snatchy seat??? Did it have a female owner before? You could have just washed it and tried a bit of febreze you know. :hide:

Does the snatchy seat have the "wet look" fabric?
