Hi everyone!

Give me please advice :-)

I have a knocking noise from my 900 engine. From the clutch cover or from transmission. I can hear it from both sides of the engine.

The knocking becomes louder after turning the throttle but almost disappears when I press the clutch lever.

What the reason of this noise? Clutch basket?

You are welcome to hear it here

Thank you in advance :-)

Yes sounds like the clutch to me. Normally it sounds worse if the throttle bodies are a bit out of balance, or there is another fault causing slightly rough running, which causes the basket to clatter about more than normal

900 with better bits. Owes me nothing, Makes me smile

Thanks!

I checked throttle bodies balans last month and it is OK or very close to OK :-)

My friend did it by DIY digital synchronizer and I don't know what is the measurement error of his device.

Lumpy running also makes noise from backlash in the gears. Pulling in clutch makes this quieter as only oil drag is pulling the gears round. Assuming the clutch isn't dragging. Your bikes sounds ok.

Was it me or did the throttle have some lag in it?

This is quite likely. Free play of right grip a little bigger than standart. I am going to adjust it soon.
