OKAY, so newbie at tinkering. Took carbs off, tank off, fuel tap and now so many hoses I have no idea what I'm doing.

Can anyone direct me to a diagram of how how the hoses run please? I'm very visual, I now know that in future I should take pictures!
Ps I am not blowing kisses! Jeez, I miss pressed my phone! Lol

Do you have a Haynes manual? Most of the toobs go back where they land. Not too much chance of getting anything mixed up though.

Studley Ramrod is the carb guru.

Where are you? Maybe someone local can assist......

I've not seen a diagram showing routes for ALL the hoses for a mk1.  Might help if you could throw some pics up showing us what you need help with.

The Haynes manual should help you locate some of them, as will the mk1 parts fiche.

This is for a US/California model, but it may help:  http://www.cmsnl.com...slist/B-09.html

The parts fiche on boats.net is also helpful (http://www.boats.net...ETOR/parts.html  ):

Hi all, I have a similar problem. Pulled carbs off long time ago and currently refitting. There are two tee pieces, one is fuel in (with filter in the tee) and another beneath it, part # 43 in the first link above. It shows a pipe bending down, is this just a drain?

Thanks

Thanks Studley, wasn't too sure as there is a drain off each bowl (smaller dia tube)

It might be a breather/drain-off.

Hi again, another question re the carbs. Got bike running today using tank hanging above gravity feeding direct to carb, all good. But when I opened up the throttle while running only the right hand slide opened/fluttered. Assume they should both open and be in sync?

Is this likely to be due to a damaged or incorrectly fitted diaphram?

Had a bit of a mission to get it reassembled, not helped by the fact that it had all been apart for a few years.

It could be.  With the engine stopped, push the black slides up in turn, there should be slight resistance.
