Decided to come back a day early, back tyre was worn out and my inflatable bed got a puncture. Rode up to Calais from Colmar, on the train then up to Heysham for the ferry. Grand total 2467 miles start to finish. A good trip, met some nice people. Heres to next year. Anyone heard from Patrick?

Glad you enjoyed it Paul, and you flew the glorious Manx flag for our European neighbours.

It would be great to get a few of the guys (and gals) from TDM Europe over to the Isle of Man for the TT, MGP, or just for a multinational G2G type visit....?

Ideas might be forming here.

My personal opinion: I am certainly considering to tour the British (and Irish) islands some time in the future. But if I go to the IoM, I would prefer to not get caught with thousands of TT maniacs. I'd rather prefer some G2G type event.

However, not this year, as I am already booked for my week-or-longer vacations.

gotta agree with Lars, whilst i quite like watching roadracing the TT week would be my last choice for riding my bike over there....

i'm sure we can organise something that would appeal to our mainland friends cool.gif

Hi Paul,

I got back home this afternoon after a couple of nights in Rochester & a nice stay at Ambleside in the Lake District last night.

I'll post up the photos when I get a chance but huge thanks goes out to Chris G & Trevini, Matt & Tony for their assistance when I went walk about in the scenary!

My first euro trip on a bike & never will be forgotten glad to have made it in the company of such a great bunch & to put some faces to names that have helped me out on the forum.

Cheers, Patrick.

Glad you made it ok, sometimes you can stiffen up after an off. I guess the hand was ok then?
