Done: Homo sap navigation/ twisty thing on bars to make it go vroom/ grabby thing to make it stop (in front of twisty thing)/ 'leccy things front and rear to make it glow at night/ Sucky + drippy oiler thing to keep chains moist (!!) / Laser Pro Stock Race pipes / bleeding ear drums (see previous mod)
To do: Educate homo sap nav system to operate twisty + grabby things/ get ear plugs

My pad is small but plenty of room for parking. For working on bikes then we can do 5/6 at the back. Parking on the road is fine. It's a park home estate so private and full of old people. All I would ask is no silly stuff when leaving.
Last year I did 2 G2G's, first one was only a few and in Jan?, second was way bigger and well attended, in answer to your question, yes, your very welcome

I'm in, would anybody be able to assist (that is carry out!)
a front fork service with new oil and seals?
I don't even know if this would be possible at a fettle day
by the way, let alone what tools would be needed.

As one of the new faces I'd be interested in this - had my 900 for 9 months now and not at all confident to tinker with it.... unsure.gif

So, depending on date, I'd love to pop along.......

Hello again, I plan to come along and would appreciate any hints/advice I can gather from the collective gurus. An opinion (& help!) on chain adjustment would be top of my list......

I understand I should bring cake?? Would homemade shortbread be suitable........ munching_out.gif
At risk of doing something exciting!

Martin, have you got an Abba stand to be able to do this, or is anyone bringing one?

Chris, the manual method of doing the fork seals is to slide hammer them apart, which knackers the bushes so you'd need to replace them as well. There are a few options for getting the seals out without removing the bushes but they're not that reliable.

No they're not leaking, but the dust seals are perishing, though its passed the last two mots like that and the guy in the mot shop said don't bother till they start leaking. I just wondered how hard it was to do, if its too involved for a fettle day I may just leave it till it needs doing and eat bacon sarnies and cake instead!
