By Popular request this tour is back for 2013

Wednesday April 24th to Sunday April 28th

(As previous years we will load onto the overnight Ferry from Portsmouth to Le Harve Wednesday night. Sailing at 23:00
Arriving 07:00 Thursday Morning.) Edit!
Just checked and this sailing no longer applies. Will advise soonest

Heading back Sunday for the 17:00 Crossing. It's a 240 mile hike so not hanging around

I have copied the E-mail from our Hosts Les & Ken so you can see pricing

I can confirm that we already have 6 places verbally taken

That leaves 5

For those who have not heard about this tour, it's a good one. AliG created it and I have been keeping it going. The hosts are simply our friends who look after every detail
The rooms and food are outstanding and the evening's are legendary.

So, first come first served but please make sure you can come before saying yes.

Hi Martin
How you doing sounds like you have had a busy year, we are fine and have had the best year so far with the business and are now preparing for the winter redecorating.
The only dates already booked in April are the 15th-17th inc, the rest of April is available at the moment.
We are going to put up the prices a little bit for next year but if you confirm numbers and can send the deposits before Christmas we will give you this years group rates of 130 Euros per person for 3 nights half-board. Chris Racki Chrisr] has already given us his deposit for next year when you stayed this year, for 2013 we are asking for a deposit of £50 Sterling per person for the half-board deals, the maximum we could take would be 11 people in 5 rooms, 4 double/twin rooms and 1 triple room, have you still got our discount code for Brittany ferries?
]How is the new Tiger will they let you stay in the Carpe TDM and have you moved you were talking about it when you stayed.
Please say hi to the guys on the forum from us.
]Take care and ride safe
Ken & Lesley

Errrr Cats, I think you've got your dates wrong mate. According to my calendar, it should be Wednesday 24th to Suinday 28th and I'm a maybe at the moment. Obviously, a definite beats a maybe, but hopefully I can confirm before all the places have gone.

Ok.
Portsmouth to Caen

Overnight crossing leaving at 22:45 arriving 06:45

Sunday Caen leaving at 14:00 arriving Portsmouth 19:15

Cost including a Cabin for 2 is £167. Thats a big up on last year
But we will have a discount code from Motoranis which will bring it down

Or we can use LD Lines and go from Le-Harve
Much better at £135 and that includes a £55 4 berth cabin,

Hope this link works

The price of £135 with LD Lines includes a 4 berth cabin. The next three only have to book the standard fare of £82 and all can share. We did this first time around if you recall so once the numbers are confirmed, you just need to decide who is booking the cabin. It was way cheaper than any other crossing, which was why we went for it at the time.

We could do Portsmouth to St Malo, a lot less road miles.... not too dear.

Attached File  Portsmouth to St Malo.png   437.23KB   59 downloads

Add to that £59 for a four berth cabin and it's bang on £150

That's 80 miles to Portsmouth (for me) plus 80 miles in France to the BnB

Given the cost saving on fuel may work out cheaper.

For a challenging summer try the

Works for me.

So we know the options on the ferry

We now need to get firm commitment on who's coming

We know ChrisR is going as he paid his deposit before he departed this year!

Mototarinis will require £50.00 deposits from each Tour Member

What they have requested is that we all pay one person and then that person forward one cheque to them

I'm happy to be that person.

All in Favour say Aye

I also like the idea of St Malo as it won't make the return trip so much of a rush :good:

Except that it is leaving at 10.30am, Steve, so you will still have a rush, but just for a shorter distance. I'm still up for the trip by the way, but am not in a position to commit at this stage.

At the risk of pissing you off (I know you're looking for firm commitments) can I register my definite interest but like Ali can't fully commit at this stage? :unsure2:
