All I did was trying to stay up to date with this sub forum and comment here and there. Just for the record: I did not order anything yet so I did not have to cancel anything.
And I am sorry to say that I did not really get into the liquids from the far north(-west?) areas of the island. So it would be a waste on me.

But I am looking forward to wearing my carpe t-shirt h.c.

Anyway: LAST ORDERS PLEASE: If there is anything you want me to pack or prepare for the guests from the islands (no, I do not bake fudge!), please let me know soon, as I will leave home on Wednesday.

He's missing his manager, and I think we may be calling Chris the eager Beaver from now on. As far as Alex and myself are concerned, we are travelling with him on the long ferry tomorrow. Either he's gone too soon, or we are too late rotflmmfao.gif

Back home after a quick, direct route from the site (my tires were more than illegal). I even got dry while on the road wink.gif

I would like to thank the BIG crowd from carpe that made it to the event. You really gave it a special turn, and showed that we all enjoy similar things and can have days (and nights) of fun together. I did not count the bikes from the islands (just too many). Additionally we had one bike from Italy, 2 from France (as far as I saw), 1 Belgium, 2 from the Netherlands, 1(?) Austrian and a Swiss.

Despite the weather there were a lot of smiling faces and great talks. Unfortunately we had one serious accident (still in hospital but on his way to recovery, I heard) and a few insignificant bruises. And whoever spread the rumor: I did not drop my bike or even crashed. (but is was nice to receive so much sympathy when people thought I were... wink.gif

I am crossing fingers for those who continued on after the event: Have great fun and experiences and come home safely.

Regards,
Lars

Just reporting in to say I'm home safe and sound (and extremely wet after the thunderstorm for the whole journey from Maidstone).

I think it's fair to say a great time was had by all, so thanks Lars and all of his fellow TDMers for the outstanding hospitality. Hope to see you all again soon.

Glad I'm not the only one with no tread left on the tyre then Lars. Please pass on our best to Jochen, he did a great job sorting us out when we came to MT08.

I've had a great trip and and hope to be back for another Megatref.

We had a far too hot run across Germany and Belgium, and then England welcomed us back with a massive thunderstorm, I had to stop under a bridge and change my trousers rolleyes.gif

I was chatting to Jos earlier (we are swapping T-Shirts) and he said the TDM Forum guys would like to visit the UK for one of our events, this would be great!

What do we have in the pipeline for next year?

We got several requests at the event for the "official" t-shirt. Gert agreed to run another post-event order during this week. So if you are interested to get one (or another) of our shirts, please send your orders as stated below. For payments, I can again act as PayPal hub to avoid big fees. Obviously there will be charges for the shipment, but I guess it will be something between 5 and 10 EUR.

So if you want one, let us know quickly. Deadline is sunday this week (July 3rd).
