Gis a clue then............mileage,mot, tyre's any good and how much are they asking for it, if it's near you your saving cost of delivery.

Inner cockpit's missing, wot's the front tyre ?? you need to check the outputshaft that the front sprockets not welded.

I've seen that bike on Facebook, it's had a full strip and rebuild inc. Frame powdercoating if memory serves.

Why would you wrap the exhaust on a 4 stroke unless you're hiding knackered downpipes?

Not too bad price if it runs and rides ok and the gearbox and output shaft are good.  imho.  Might get some knocked off for the missing cockpit surround and maybe needing new tyres.

Well it's around the right price i think but i reckon you could haggle a little over the replacement disc and tyres, make sure to check out as mentioned above, mostly around that price i would be expecting to have to do some work to it though.

As an example i paid £600 for a runner with no MOT and same'ish mileage as that and have put some funds into it already.

Just done History check on it and it says had colour change in 1995 which is obvious but also says:

    • Recorded againstLicence plate
    • DescriptionYAMAHATDM850
    • Date22/07/1993
    • CategoryVehicle Has Been The Subject Of An Insurance Total Loss Payment.

I presume that means it was probably a Cat C and rebuilt in 1995 when it was rebuilt and colour changed from Black to white??

Just bought the white TDM for £700 with MOT till Sep 2018. Will need loose headlight connection looking at and new tyres to start with and rear view mirrors but other things like rear brake disc & pads spark plugs, air filter and headstoke bearing at some point.

Congrats Grendel, their a great bike, check oil religiously until your familiar with it, especially high rev runs on the motorway for example.

You may have to replace the headlight if it's loose, maybe, Studley might offer more info as he just sorted his.
