Is that the bulbs or the whole unit?
:)

Edited by NickIAM, 30 December 2015 - 10:04 pm.

:)

Yeah, I've done the IAM. And yeah, I recommend it (any so-called 'advanced training' come to that; not just IAM): A low cost training course based on the system used by the police, which is largely common sense once pointed out, making one smoother, quicker and safer. What's not to like? And why would one not want to tell others?  :hide:

Whole unit, an easy plug n play and in all should only take 30min included a coffee. Also I've done the clear indicator lens front & back to match.

LED brake light will raise an ABS error on the dash.

In case a LED tail light is used, it's better to get a red one, not a "white" one : the white color is actualy a mix of blue and yellow and it will be filtered by the red casing.

It's not the case for the red LED, the red casing is transparent for the red light.

I'm sure the tail light illuminates the number plate as well, which would mean a red bulb is no good. I may just have to bite the bullet and get a tinted unit to replace the original...shame

Error on dash... Doesn't sound good. Is that with the full unit or the bulbs as well? And are the bulbs a direct swap or do they need the extra thingy to level the power usage?

And if getting the red unit, will it still light the number plate as it should?

;)

:)

Check illumination of the rear number plate by the new LED unit if you have a Scottoiler touring tank

Pict, I’ve got both.. LED unit and scottoiler touring pack fitted and never been pulled over by plod in 3 years or questioned by the MOT about lack of light onto number plate.

Happy New Year :clapping:

Yup, ditto, but just making a note, going back a few years to my days on a "proper" (not triked) 9er when there was a bit of discussion on the bluish tinge and the spread of the (then) ne7w LED rear light

Speaking of LED brake lights. Has anybody fitted one which flashes a couple of times when the brake is applied before becoming constant? I've spotted them on a few bikes down here and am impressed at how well they grab attention. The red flashes in traffic stand out like a dogs danglies.
