Just returned from quick 70 mile round trip to visit a mate and try out the TDM after fitting Iridiums yesterday and on the return leg my indicators have stopped working.

Just indicators and hazard switch not functioning, everything else on the l.h. side is fine, any thoughts please on most likely cause? Will it be bulb, fuse, connector or something other.

All I did when I got back was try some WD40 into the switch, which hasn't had any magical effect. If I'd done anything yesterday when I'd stripped it and moved the rad to change plugs surely they'd have not worked from the off?

Your wisdom and suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

Well, did you check the fuse? Of course, chances are that if the fuse is blown, whatever caused it to blow in the first place it's still there, so it might be worth a closer look.

Have the same problem on my VTR mths back.
Is a total 'blackout' for my case!!!

Can't even crank up my ride, is the main fuse blown... tink it should be ard 30/40A type.

The cause of the blown up is the faulty rectifier.
Nothing can compare a gd smooth ride out on my TDM

Thanks guys.

I checked the bulbs and it seems the last one was gone, although I couldn't really tell (old-age eyesight) so I changed it and it still didn't initially work but I turned the bulb a bit further in the socket and that seemed to do the trick.

Not sure if the original bulb was OK too and maybe just wasn't correctly seated, but anyway I'll leave well alone as it's now OK.
