I tink many of us had this type of "service" from Carrick. I can recommend Ian Bell near Newcastle, I ordered OE Pads on the phone, yes sir we have them in stock, paid by credit card and they arrived next morning. Carrick's attitude was, like...what do you want them for?

Dude! It is unfortunate, but refreshing to know that i am not the only one! I bought my bike from Carrick, all services and minor issues dealt with there, and also bought some kit. Referred them to my brother who bought an R1 from them too. Chain and sprocket, same deal....you know..."um","what?", "oh that!", "no sorry, not in stock". So i waited for them to order it. How much i asked... "um...between £150 and £180". Expensive i know, but there was I assumed some loyalty in staying with the folks who sold you the bike. Came to pick her up..."what do i owe you? i ask"....and the reply.."£230!"!!!
"WHAT? but i was quoted much lower than that!". "Oh, that was without VAT"they said! Since when does any public retailer quote without VAT???? Yeah, go to checkout at TESCO, and they will say "£25 please, oh sorry, plus VAT!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! So the moron that is their chief mechanic says while laughing "that's the beauty of owning a bike pal!" It's not only millionaires that like bikes you know. Futhermore, since when does a chain and sprocket (and not genuine Yamaha i might add" Cost £230 to buy and install???

These people should be shut down! Thanks so much for whoever set up this blog. Get the word out to stay away from these criminals!

Totally agree with nhstedium. I've used www.wemoto.com many times, always the right parts and always rapid delivery too. I don't even phone - just order online and I still get the correct parts. Top marks from me.

personally i would leave them up, they pissed you off severly at the time and obviously didnt deliver the service you expected or deserved.
i think its only fair that others are warned about them, there was a balance of opinion from others who had good experiences of the same dealer
