I just want to bump this thread up to the top again for anyone that might have forgotten how bad M&P can be.

Nexxus exhaust ordered but found to be faulty... can't blame M&P for that...

Monday morning I call M&P and they tell me to call Nexxus, which I do. Nexxus say that they will send me out spare parts that do fit, but the request has to come from M&P. I call M&P back - speak to the same person - and they promise to contact Nexxus straight away. The whole thing is painless and takes 10 mins. So far so good - I'm happy - I just have to sit back and wait for the parts to arrive.

Decide to email them on Wednesday as I haven't heard from them.... no reply to the email.

Call them on Friday morninh, they check my file... which contains nothing about my conversation on monday or my email on wednesday... so it's back to square one! I complain, especially as my bike is my only means of transport apart from a push bike.

They promised to call and confirm that they had sorted it... but of course they didn't....

B*ST**DS!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!

no better in their picking/packing department, i ordered 2 front indicators for my TDM last week, the ones they sent a completely different to each other, one has an orange frosted lens the other a normal orange lens, although they did send a replacement very quickly, and i don't have to send the odd one back, (not that it's any use to me.) they just never use any common sense in these warehouses.

I have never had a trouble free order from them. They always leave something out or send the wrong thing. They are cheap but you get what you pay for in the customer service dept!!! Support your local bike shop and pay a little extra for the personal touch.

Sadly a great many local bike shops are utter shat too when it comes to customer support, ability and service. Thats why I use Damerells mail order, jobs a carrot.

Bought a Buffalo Turbo jacket from M&P's over Christmas, noticed yesterday that it started to come apart at one of the seams. Took it back to M&P's no problem, no fuss. Got a new jacket there and then.
But as I said earlier, they are on my doorstep, approx 5 mins away. Both My brother (DaveB) and myself buy from there regular so the staff do tend to know us.

Would this really be 'bashing' then? Sounds like a positive to me (M&P. not the jacket).

Neither have I... course that may be due to the fact that I am in the United States. rolleyes.gif

I ordered an oxford bike cover from m and p on saturday, then I read the bashing section and started to worry about what or if I would receive anything. Well I'm very pleasantly surprsed the correct cover arrived today [wed26th] and was twenty quid cheaper than infinity and gericke up the road! This time they excelled themselves let's hope they keep it up.

Thanks for that. If people only read the bad stuff about a supplier it could turn everyone off for a (possible) fluke mishap.
Important to hear the other side.
