Bar Ends Thread Size?

Thinking of tapping renthal bars to fit yamaha bar ends, anyone know the thread / tap size please,

 

I have tried numerous searches but not been able to find the info on here

 

Edit just  been on a fazer forum someone says m16x1.5  anyone confirm this is correct?

BUT, afore ya go buying stuff, have a read of this http://www.carpe-tdm...5689&hl=m16x1.5  You might also need a suitable drill bit.

I’ve fitted std bar ends to renthal 755’s, used a 16x1.5 straight in, did the job fine but you do need to back off every 1/4 or 1/2 turn to clear the cuttings.
A little bit of patience is all you need and remember the tap is hardened tool steel, the bars are alloy you’ll have to go some to have a problem, that’s coming from a clumsy t@#£
