Front Fork Preload Adjuster

hi

 

i have 1997 tdm850. tried setting up front forks but little screw for damping adjustment dissapeared into housing.  will preload adjuster from 1995 fit?  my fork seals are 42mm.

 

any help will be gratefully recieved

I rebuilt the preloaders on me mk1. See ear http://www.carpe-tdm...showtopic=26406

The mk 2 had a diff diameter furk so I don't think the pre loaders will interchange.

Not ed zackery sure what the problem is ewe is explaining but if the preloaders are pooped ewe should be able to rebuild em.


Edit: having read that linky dink I say that mk1 and mk2 look the same so the answer will depend on if oim getting cleverer or ticker!!!

Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.

Not the same, '97 have a long "D" cross section adjuster rod. I think part #20 is a clip which holds the Mk2  long rod in place
