Hi, my 2005 ABS has stopped pumping fluid to the rear brake. Initially took caliper off, rebuilt it and still no fluid.

I bypassed the ABS unit with a straight brake pipe from brake to caliper and it worked fine.

I cleaned all the ABS lines to ensure no dirt, front brake working as it should but rear brake gets no fluid.

I used the JBX manual to pump / purge the ABS but still no joy.

I see one company rebuilds ABS units at £355 +vat, thinking of avoiding that unless I have to.

Any help appreciate it

Greetings

Did you switch the ignition on when the hydraulics were empty?

I  had ignition on when I was bleeding it and yes the reservoir emptied but topped it up instantly.

I managed to swap the fluid in mine with a syringe & ign off. No jumper wires etc.

Wait awhile and someone will be along to help.

Have you tried the troubleshooting section in the ABS supplement?
