(1) We never leave on time.
(2) We always over estimate how much mileage we can do in the time we've got. This is because of numerous cake/petrol/photo stops. If we ever meet up at at a point that is scenic and sells cake & petrol I doubt we'll ever leave

Are you going on the bike? Some great roads down there, if you can miss the caravans.

Bike's OK, Have a pass out, and weather looking OK - so that's the 75%
The 25% doubtfull bit is that I'm out for a few pints and a curry on Friday night so I'll see how I feel - If I do turn up I'll take the back marker position!
If I'm not there by 9.15 then crack on and have a good day.

Looks good, but there is a fair bit of A59/A65 on there which might be busy
I had in mind, something like
0900 meet at Tickled Trout
A59 to Clitheroe
B6478 to Slaidburn and Long Preston
A65 to Settle
COFFEE MARKET PLACE SETTLE
B6479 to Horton in Ribblesdale and then on to Ribblehead Viaduct
B6255 to Hawes
1130 (ish) COFFEE AND BACON, EGG BUTTIES at penygarth cafe, Hawes
(loop round Buttertubs Pass to Thwaite, Keld, Kirkby Stephen, A683 to Sedbergh - if anyone fancies this)
A684 to Sedbergh
A683 to Kirkby Lonsdale
A65 Ingleton
minor road High Bentham
minor road across moor to Slaidburn
1500 COFFEE AT LITTLE CAFE SLAIDBURN
B6478 to Clitheroe
A59 to garage before motorway
SAY GOODBYES AT GARAGE, recount tales of derring do
(2000 Celebrate NUFC surprising, but magnificent, victory over Arsenal)
Safety first - Everybody ride at own pace, meeting stops above, or as agreed at the day, will mean NO-ONE has to rush to keep up
What does everyone think?
