Stealth X5 Camera Problem?

Hi all, just got me the above camrea to try but it wont show up on my PC. It makes the connection noise de de da le so to speak ha ha but dont come up as a "Removeable Drive" I'm running Windows 8.1 and its a bit frustrating .

 

Any ideas please???

"Windows 8.1" just the mention of it makes me cringe! had to re-set my computer to get rid the Bastid thing, and a pound to a penny that's probably the contributing factor to your problem! I lost the SD card reader amongst other things, when I upgraded to 8.1 :rant:

You'll probably find that the camera manufacturer hasn't released drivers for W8.1 yet which is why it can't see it.

 

Jono - prob the same thing for the SD reader with W8.1 also.

 

If it's not loads of grief I'd stick to W7 until they stop supporting it, or W8 support is more robust, and 3rd party suppiers have brought their driver base up to speed.

 

You could always dual-boot if you don't want to totally get rid of W8

I could be wrong mate, but I would suggest that you'll have no issues with an older OS...
