I've got a blown fork seal on a 900 that's done less than 8000 miles. It occurs to me that some good old fashioned rubber gaiters might help to stop this happening again. Has anyone here fitted gaiters? What size is required? Do they look ok or completely naff?
Gaiters?

gaiters need about 43mm top, anything around 40mm will do they stretch, allow for 150mm of fork travel, bottoms need to be about 50-60mm. They do work. Chect your stanchions for small pits or dings on the bit that slides through the seal.

This is my personal preference.
Oops sorry my mistake, it's gaiters not garters.
To be fair, a mistake we've likely all made, from time to time...

I just bought some of these,
https://www.ebay.co....tm/284436750945
they are the same size as what other sellers list for the TDM 900,
50x35x205cm, I will be trying to fit them next week, but not lost a fortune if they don't,
I'll post up and let you know if they were successful
