I found a brand new, in the original bag, fairing infill panel for £30 so snapped it up as the one on mine was pretty scruffy, cracked lugs etc. As the bike is quite tidy overall for it`s age that got me thinking about tidying things up properly. So the Q is, is there anything special about the standard Yam screws that fix the fairing and side panels in place? This is the third mk1 that I`ve had and all of them have had a right motley collection of fixings holding the plastics on, everything from wood screws to imperial bolts, so I`d like to make this one as tidy as poss. Do the OE ones have certain diameter heads or certain length shoulders or stand offs on them? or will a set of decent stainless do? Can anyone recommend anything?

OEM ones have a larger diameter head. They are expensive though.
