I have a Speedo Healer V4 which I removed from my old Fazer 1000: was offered peanuts for it on ebay and I recently noticed that the connectors look like they will also fit the TDM900.

In general terms I believe all speedos read optimistically to avoid litigation, but not sure just how much this particular one is out. Was thinking between 5 and 10 per cent, but also wondering if it uses a non-linear setup (e.g. it will still read too low at 30mph, will be 100% accurate at 60mph and then over-read at 90mph etc.)?

Generally out around 5/6 % but well out if you alter the final drive gearing

I'd go with about 5% when compared with satnav/GPS. Maybe a little more, but 5% will help keep your licence clean, while giving you a little more fun than Yamaha san allows..
