At the last MOT back in March I had an advisory on the front disks and tyres, none of which was a real surprise and as I took the TDM for a trip to Scotland after I ordered new disks and tyres.
On removing the wheel I noticed one of the bearings was a bit crunchy so ordered new then once I'd removed the bearings I suddenly thought I might as well take this opportunity to have the wheel powder coated now everything's been stripped off.........
I stuck with black but gloss this time and was well pleased......so of course the rear wheel looked a bit sad for itself so that was next. I've had a few rear wheel bearings go on this and the previous one so thought I might as well change them while it was out and then noticed the new chain and sprockets on the shelf..........................might as well get them on as well! I used to keep an eye on ebay for deals on ebay for the consumables and would have no doubt needed a new chain before now if I'd kept on commuting but my mileage dropped due to Covid and then retirement.
So, nice shiny wheels, disks, sprockets and chain........................and a filthy bike. What should pop up but an offer from a valeter that I've used before for a winter deal including ACF and ceramic paint treatment. I managed to persuade a neighbour what a good deal this was and with his GS included got an even better deal.
So here she is - trouble is I don't want to get her dirty again!
