Mid-Wales run Sunday 27th April.....

Anyone up for a meet in Mid- wales..... blink.gif


Can be a single run out, a week-end, two runs and a night over in a Pub.

BB, Hotel or in a tent.

But, some where around Welsh-pool and should take in the Vera LLyn Resevoir.

End April ????

Up for any suggestions on routes , where or when.

Sounds good to me Ivan, I'd prefer a single run out, rather than overnighting though. But I'll see what everyone else suggests.

Sounds good, as long as it keeps of the 'skanky' A5. It just seems to be full of speed traps when ever I ride it!

Single day out is OK

Saturday 26th April OK

Or if its just a day out... Saturday 12th is OK too.

Keeping off the A5.... good.gif OK

apologies - my information was incorrect - it is my 59 year old brain!
it seems 26/27 is the staffs show (I will start thread) so I suggest:

12 april for wales rideout

does this seem OK?

Would love to guys but I have the (mis)fortune to be a Bolton season ticket holder and we are at home on the 12th so will have to give it a miss.

i would be interested in a ride out but can't do the 12th or the 19th, got to look after Pantboy junior, would defo be up for a blast into wales later in the spring.

I'm away over Easter (sunning myself in warmer climes). The traffic is likely to be horrendous over the Easter weekend anyhows. Sundays are difficult for me too, as son No.1 plays his rugby in the morning and requires my services as chauffeur. However, April is the tailend of the season, so the later in April, the more likely I am going to be available on a Sunday. As for watching Bolton or riding through glorious Welsh countryside - no contest!

May bank Holiday weekend I'm up in scotland for 3 nights on the bike. Arran, Skye and Home.

So

Sunday 10th May ?
or
Sunday 18th May ?

Or Sunday 27th April, if Peter is only going to the Staffs Clissic bike on the Saturday and fancies two days out on the trot.

Last time a ride out to Wales was on the cards I seem to remember a meeting point being suggested of a Little Chef on the A41 a couple of miles on the Wirral side of the Tunnel. Ring any bells with anyone?

OOHH !!!! Yes.

I remember that, absolutely chucked it down and we cancelled it.

That was the start of the great british Summer of 2007.

This time I was thinking more like Oswestry for the start depending where everyone is coming from.

That little chef is still a good place to meet up for us lot from north of the Mersey and then head down.
