I briefly borrowed my ex's R1200 GS once and I waved like a mad thing at everyone I came across, Harley riders, Jap riders, sport bike riders, children, nuns etc etc.  You get the picture.

Then I drove it into a hedge to park it cos I couldn't reach the ground.  (True story.  He was a knob anyway and I hated the GS.) :rotflmmfao:

 Don't go asking for a go on the Crosstourer at the Leominster G2G then! They're even taller!

Aren't there any curbs in Leominster then? :)

OK, I know there's a NAXALT argument, but I don't consider GS rangers or Harley weekend cruisers as bikers and neither to they if the routine lack of acknowledgment is anything to go by. But I'll carry on nodding, you never know.

I've given up nodding to Harley riders.

I'll be going down through France on my ageing 9er in September. If anyone asks about the referendum I'll tell them to mark it, because they won't see anything as democratic as that again for a long time to come. And of course I'll continue to wave at all and sundry.

Sorry Mick, for balance, I just spent a ferry journey back from Ireland chatting to a lovely German GS riding couple. And they said if there was a referendum in Germany now it would be close. The average German working person is getting very fed up with the EU apparently......

I bet they'd quote immigration as a major issue, but like a lot of Brits, i bet they wouldn't understand how vital it is to their future !
