Hi folks

I've taken the fuel pipes off my 9er and put on the standard cans - I've been moaning about the little bugger in the corsa with a clever boy exhaust so I'd be a bit of a hypocrite staying with these! They get through MOT with a "these might be a bit loud" advisory every time, but they're not quiet. Its a really nice sound if you're not in a quiet little village :D. For extra pearl-clutching, the bafflers are removable too.

They've got a bit of road dirt on them, but polish up quite nicely.

Any offers on them? I'm in Devon, near Newton Abbot - could possibly post them but I doubt itll be cheap!

Just a thought, have you tried inlet side baffles ?

I found the exit baffles always have a narrower diameter than standard, so they restrict flow while restricting noise. My bike is tune for an open exhaust so i think i end up running a bit rich.

Then i discovered inlet side baffles, which take the high frequency sting out of the exhaust note but you still get a nice low frequency throb because the exit side is fully open.

This is an example https://www.ebay.co....FkAAOSwiuBgWWVh

They come in different sizes, and they're sometimes cheaper than those in the listing. You just remove the can and slip them inside the link pipe or the exhaust can inlet pipe.

You always hear the rumble and they only scream loudly when you push the pace

EDIT - this seller has a full range of inlet baffles. I just chose one which allowed maximum flow and it does the job for now

Nice one, thanks - I'll check those out too. With a house move coming though, I'm going to have to choose one or t'other!
