Givi V46 Top box in very good condition - £100 plus any postage

  • It has the Brake light kit fitted but this has stopped working recently - I've included the instructions as I'm sure it's only a loose connection
  • I replaced the red reflectors with clear ones as I preferred them - the red ones are also included
  • I also put reflective tape behind the reflectors which makes a massive difference.

I can post anywhere in the UK but it's also available for pickup from Edenbridge in North West Kent or during the week Chiswick.

Where can you buy clear reflectors, my red ones are starting to deteriorate but the box is in tip top condition other ways?

Sorry to side track your thread but at least my reply will act as a bump :)

<Edit> Just found then at M&P for £11, seems like a bargain.

I think that's where I got mine from - if you're going to take the lenses off do yourself a favour and stick some reflective tape on the reflector underneath, it does make a hell of a difference.

I've decided not to sell it - I'd been looking to replace it with the V47 model but for just an extra litre of space it is quite appreciably bigger so I've sent it back. I also didn't realise the new model can be closed without the key in the lock - so very easy to lock inside! (Which I'm bound to do)

Its a real squeeze to get two helmets in their bags into a V46, the extra litre might help.

I've obviously got a big head as I wouldn't even try to get two lids in my V46!

I've got an Givi E52 that I use for touring and that takes a couple of lids easily - the V47 is the same size but supposedly 9 litres smaller inside.

Nice idea, I'll be copying that, did you stick this tape to the underside of the reflector or the top box lid under the reflector?

With all the 'essential' equipment I have in my V46 I can barely fit 1 helmet let alone 2 😀

If you take the lens off there is a silver reflector under there - stick it to that. I've done the same to my Givi E52 as it makes such a difference.

I can take some pictures over the weekend if it helps

Very true - this is based on the rule "the rubbish/essential equipment expands to fill the available space"

This also applies to car boots, sheds and ladies' handbags.................

I can manage a medium Arai and a large Shoei provided only one of them is in a helmet bag. Needs a lot of care not to scratch the unbagged lid.

Strange, if they are the same physical size but the V47 holds less, other than looks/price why would anyone buy a V47 over an E52?

They haven't sold the E52 for a while now, it's the V56 now
