I am second owner from new. First owner lived about a mile from me.

Red and black, less than 5K miles on the clock. Garaged and float charged at least since I've had it. (Previous owner obviously cherished it as well).

Standard, spotless, full UK bike, purchased from main dealer in swindon, FSH (locally at the dealer I bought it from in Brum).

Yamaha touring screen (still have original plus a red one the first owner put on), excellent tyres.
Datatool alarm. Leather Bagalux TDM red and black seat ( very comfortable and a real eye catcher), leather tank cover and tank bag. front matt black Crash bars.

Only mark of note is some paint peeling off at the bottom of the rear shock on one side.

I have only put a couple of hundred miles on it in two years due to ill health. sad.gif

Offered £2,400 PX against a Trumpet so will sell for that.

Can email pics in the first instance.

Need a lower bike now, hence looking at a Triumph Bonneville America. Had a great offer from a Triumph dealer for PX to save me the trouble of selling it.

I only wish I had been able to use it to the full and would like it to got to a good home
Will start talking at £3,000 Can email pics in the first instance.

IT IS !!! smile.gif

Book prices ( MCN Parkers Guide ) Say:

By plate (y reg)

Yamaha TDM850 2001/Y
Original Price £ 6299
Independent Dealer £ 3160
Private Good £ 2975
Private Poor £ 2280
Part Exchange £ 2605

or by year (x reg)

Original Price £ 6299
Independent Dealer £ 2940
Private Good £ 2770
Private Poor £ 1975
Part Exchange £ 2435

Original Price

Manufacturer's list price when new, including VAT and taxes where appropriate.
Independent Dealer

Typical price paid at a dealer after some sensible haggling.
Private Good

Price paid in a private sale for a bike in good condition with full MoT, service history and requiring no work.
Private Poor

Price paid in a private sale for a bike that requires some work, has no service record and cannot be restored to clean condition.
Part Exchange

The typical price that a dealer offers for your bike in part-ex. It is a guide price as the value may vary according to your bike's desirability and condition.

Knowing that us Carpe-ies are loath to part with our well earned lucre, I thought I'd start high and leave a lot of room for negotiaition.

I've been offered £2,400 px and assume the Trumpet man will make a wedge on that when he sells it on, so if I can get the same private and a TDM affectionado gets a cracking bike then smiles all round. good.gif
