I reckon another 6 weeks before tucking the Tracer away for the Winter, mainly because it is an absolute sod to clean.

So what's the temperature in your area just now ? and when does it get really cold ?
9 c for me this morning @ 7am
Usually where I am on East coast of Scotland January / February tends to be the worst part of Winter

-5°C here right now, not too far from Bjørge. Will probably drop below -20 periodically in Jan/Feb.

Well at -5c I would be putting the Bike away as well
On the plus side -20c Wouldn't need the Freezer switched on

So when are you back on the road (Bike wise ) ? April / May ?

- 4c this morning, the coldest so far. Temperatures vary a lot, so I really don't know what to expect.

I've thought about a Tracer and had a couple of test rides, and each time I've stood back from the bike and thought 'How the hell would I go about cleaning it?'

I don't like pressure washing bikes but some of the modern crop - Tracer included - have so many nooks and crannies that maybe pressure washing is the only solution.

Riggers.

There is a new Tracer for next year. I doubt easy cleaning was a design target.

Well, my biking year 2019 didn’t amount to much - I’ve probably done less than 1000 miles - just too much other stuff going on. Selling and buying house’s mainly.

2020 is going to be different, but that’s as far as any plan has got so far!  :)

As I don't have a car license ( maybe when I grow up - I'm only 54 )
I will ride / slide to work etc as much as I can depending on ice /snow etc
The Temperature is starting to be a bit of an issue with my left hand
so investment is required in better gloves ( or I could MTFU and go and see a Doctor about it ! )
might have to think about something with DCT for future

Andy25 try some electric gloves.

I have Reynauds in my hands (cold fingers with bad circulation)

I commute for 2 hours a day all year.

I use Gerbing gloves and they have been brilliant

After about 10 years of constant use through the winters one stopped working, I sent it back and they sent me a brand new pair!

Excellent service and they live up to their lifetime guarantee

Hot hands, happy riding

Cheers Deebee

That is something I have thought about - not sure about wired to bike or battery style
On the Bike I'm at work in 10 mins and only managed a couple of day's out on Bike over summer so the chances of 7/8 hours out on Bike over winter months are very slim
I'm off to have a Google

Did you try muffs? Cimbined with heat grips they totally eliminate the cold hand problem. The new problem is getting your gloves out to wipe visor.....

Never tried them - I Like to be able to express myself in a frank and forthright manner
Seriously though the thought of restrictions to my hands does worry me
Will have a look at some type of heated gloves & see if that helps
keep the knuckles flexible for a while longer

Yep for a short journey i would'nt be arsed with muffs but, i have to agree muffs alone are brilliant at keeping the hands warm wearing summer gloves, with heated grips that turned into overkill for me and heated grips alone for the winter are crap as the top of your hands freeze, no longer an issue for me though.

For me It's the top of the hands that are becoming an issue
Wind seems to chill the knuckles very quickly these day's
That's with hand guards
Mind you only got myself to Blame - Today temp 1`c @ 7am - me suppose I better put on thicker gloves ( heated grips for - temps ) No wonder I'm starting to have issues ! ( It did help ! )
A friend of mine who suffers both types of arthritis & probably Reynauds
reckons heat is the only thing that keeps her hands moving

I run muffs and heated grips in winter, toasty. Muffs are great on a long trip.  I'm using the cheap neoprene ones off e-bay, had them on the KLE and they were excellent, no problem getting the hands in or out in traffic. The bend on the TDM seems to be a little different and it is a little harder getting the hands back in.

I have simple system for winter riding, a 1.5 minute pushbike ride to work and a garage for the TDM, I spent enough years riding to work in all weathers to do it now.
