Still noisy mechanically so popped it's lid to take a look. Oo er rocker pad going bad.
2002 900 silver,oil pressure switch with brass 90 degree conversion, RG fork protectors. Wilburs custom made rear Shock with remote hydraulic preload and RG shocktube, Wilburs front springs. Scotoiler with a custom made swing arm delivery unit. Well worn. Can you still get new parts for the engine ? I know David Silver is prolly the go to man for old Honda parts.

The new parts fitted that meet my standard. Brakes must be 100% or it gets replaced in my book.

Old Honda's,I spend far too long thinking about it, looking at bits for it, making parts for it or fettling it. I'll end up with old bike collecting syndrome for sure.

Getting new bits in and buttoning up. New copper seals of course, didn't find any old ones taking it to bits.

Now the neighbour has seen this 550/4 he is now doing up his CB250N wet dream. So he has dropped his seized up master cylinder, caliper and leaking forks on my doorstep.
Not really giving me much deep joy and happiness, a 250N isn't what I call a "Classic"
