I knew i would have to get new emulsion tubes sooner or later and i think the time is upon me but asking your advice to confirm really....

My bike has started to feel like it is going to run out of petrol - but doesn't. This happens through all gears at all speeds but felt most strongly at lower speeds and my biggest annoyance with it is the idling low in traffic and sometimes cutting out..... arrrrggghhhhh...

I have read that this may be the symptoms of her running rich. Which points again to the worn tubes needing replacing.... These feelings had already been confirmed a few weeks ago when she wouldn't start at all. Checked the plugs and they were wet and black. Since been replaced but then the above symptoms have been occurring and won't go away.

Just waiting on a response from mr dapleb to get some new tubes....

Any advice or input much appreciated

Cheers

your coils are ok ? they sometimes get tired but it sounds like you are running very rich. Mt ramrod will be along soon to advise.

Worn toobs usually result in poor running in the mid range and wouldn't be the obvious culprit for the bike cutting out at idle.  It's difficult to know exactly what's causing the problems but it could be that the fuel level/float height might need adjusting, or the choke might be sticking, or the carbs need setting up and balancing.

If you're really struggling to get them sorted, I might be able to come over and have a look at them for you.
